I've had this for over a week, it's not great and the Mrs hates it.  Lada Samara Quarter Mile by srblythe, on Flickr  Lada Samara Quarter Mile by srblythe, on Flickr  Lada Samara Quarter Mile by srblythe, on Flickr It won't win any shows but it might get you from A to B depending on if it breaks down or runs out of fuel (the fuel tank is empty at the halfway mark but the fuel light still works) It's probably the worst car I've ever had and definitely the most undesirable, you will likely get overtaken and laughed at by strangers, I certainly have. The car has 10 months mot, starts and handles reasonably well but the brakes are shocking, it has a 205 xs carb and an induction kit fitted which makes it idle a bit lumpy. The blower motor has stopped working since buying it and it requires a radiator fan to be wired in. It's a shed now but could be made into less of a shed with a bit of attention. |

Why did you buy it? Fantastic ad. What time did you do the quarter mile? I have never seen one of these on the road. Why did I buy it? I'm not sure, I thought it had potential. Why sell it? Because I have ten other cars in need of attention. Why keep it? Because after spending a bit of time on it, it's grown on me and doesn't seem that bad. Fastest time on the quarter mile was 19 seconds. |
