This somehow slipped my radar. I have managed to fix the 924 since the Northern Retro meet so could have gone in that too. I'm mega miffed.
Thanks for a super bunch of pictures though.

I help out with this not particularly RR but still awesomely cool, Pilbeam MP97 with an ex-F1 Judd V8 (owned by the same guy as the Chapman Mercury III that was at Chateau Impney): Well clearly I need both of those at next year's Gathering ... I've been after getting a top 12 run off regular hillclimber to the show so people can see how crazy fast the top flight of British Hillclimbing can be up the hill. I'm hoping to get Nick Mann too ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

Almost my golf there lol And none of the trophies :/ Great pics tho mate from an awesome day You know I was thinking earlier how I was stupid for not getting pictures of the trophies. Or you at work. My excuse being I had the long lens on and it was too windy/dusty to be changing them. In recompense have a picture. I only didn't include it before as I thought it was out of focus but it might have just been my eyes. Nice to see you albeit briefly. Good to see you too mate. And thanks for the pic it's great. That's two shows now where people have taken pics of it, it's not even anywhere near where I wanted it for the show. Trophies took all my time up!!!

skamanfrank yeah you are at Gurston, half the hill climb cars I'd thought I'd like to pursue for the Gathering are there :/ What car are you guys running? It's a round of both the British and Midlands Hillclimb champs so unfortunately that's where lots of people will be that weekend. I help out with this not particularly RR but still awesomely cool, Pilbeam MP97 with an ex-F1 Judd V8 (owned by the same guy as the Chapman Mercury III that was at Chateau Impney): Hahaha small world Frank, we were also there (not been there since we last went with you some years ago)! Would have been good to catch up! I was looking at this exact car for a sort while as well prior to the start of the hill climb but must have been in the zone! Dean

The flames really make it stand out in a field of other single seaters. Great looking, sounding and performing car. This somehow slipped my radar. I have managed to fix the 924 since the Northern Retro meet so could have gone in that too. I'm mega miffed. Thanks for a super bunch of pictures though. -Steve- Glad to hear you got it buttoned back together. How is it running?

A little whoring of my own pics of the trophies I did for this show. 10 in Matt finish all hand painted, 2 in gold flake base. 1 crazy paint style and one a JPS style but with a kustom twist A couple of stupid late nights and a week on and off on these

They are beautiful bits of kit, you've done an ace job on them. I still can't believe I didn't take a picture of them all sat in the sun. Missed opportunity.
I have say we were hoping for the 'best club stand' award purely as the helmet would've matched the Galaxie perfectly.
How did that striping go what you were doing on the back of the ducktail spoiler?

I love the finished result on the Z. I knew it was going to be good from just the wax pencil sketch.

Hahaha small world Frank, we were also there (not been there since we last went with you some years ago)! Would have been good to catch up! I was looking at this exact car for a sort while as well prior to the start of the hill climb but must have been in the zone! I didn't see you! I was probably focussed on scrubbing tyres (it's quite handy being a bit OCD for that job ha)! I help out with this not particularly RR but still awesomely cool, Pilbeam MP97 with an ex-F1 Judd V8 (owned by the same guy as the Chapman Mercury III that was at Chateau Impney): Well clearly I need both of those at next year's Gathering ... I'm hoping to get Nick Mann too ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) Nick is at Shelsley the week before the RRG! He thinks there's some left to shave off his class record I believe... If you would like to get in touch with Oliver for the Gathering, let me know. He's a regular top 12 run off competitor and podium placer, HOWEVER he doesn't run at Shelsley anymore. Can't remember if I have mentioned already but he actually shares the Pilbeam with his mother who also competes and has been since the early 80s!

I was going to start my own thread on this show but you beat me to it, and your photos are better than mine, especially the race track ones so thanks. really enjoyed the show. (Must apologize to the good folk of Leeds for driving like a bell whilst getting lost in their horrible one way system. Whoever planned those streets deserves an extended holiday in Guantanamo Bay.) You should bosh your pictures up too! Either in here or another thread, it's always good to see another perspective. I wouldn't worry about driving though Leeds, the don't make it easy and the standard or driving around here is atrocious anyway.

I watched Nick Mann at Loton park 30 odd years ago in the Castrol sponsored Minor. Got some pictures somewhere but they'll be slide/print. Mark
