I normally do this thread much closer to the event (mainly due to the drop out and reserve list swap ins that always happen) However seeing as we are well underway with applications for the hill and I'll not have as much spare time closer to the event I'm kicking it off now - entries may change and if it does I'll do a little edit in the relevant posts This will also provide the basis of information for Paul Venners (who is "on the mic" on the day) It's also a handy thread for spectators to show a little insider knowledge to their mates on the day when the cars run up the hill  So lets kick it off with a few forum members first And "first" is apt with Ben Spencer - boffer8 - he was the first to get an entry in 1984 Vauxhall Nova Saloon 1.4 8V  Mods - Full hillclimb/sprint car for use in Class 1A. 1.4 8v engine on throttle bodies, full race engine, SCCR gearbox, competition interior ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mark Brown - Mark - 1990 BMW M3  Mods - Track prep' inc race seats, harness etc His thread on that car and a 2002 here---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chris Hollingsworth - spittyholly - 1972 Triumph GT6 MKIII  Mods - Lowered,sports exhaust,different carbs its yellow LOL ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Alex Clarke - ajc91 - 1987 Ford Escort MKIII Estate  Mods - 2.0 black top Zetec swap, ib5 5speed, 4 branch, full stainless, lowering springs, Impreza seats, Peugeot steelies, 90 spec His thread on the car here---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Andy Bower - PhoenixCapri - 1971 Ford Capri MKI  Mods - bit too much to be brief so lets say everything! I work with numbers all day so when I'm looking after this hill climb activity I get interested in more than numbers so as an introduction to the next batch of 5 I'm going to share some stats Well I expected Forum users to feature heavily in the entrants - currently 36% - Facebook is 39% given the "likes" so to speak but the next one surprised me Friends 15% - yep good old word of mouth can bring people to the party so I'm gonna share 5 people who will be on the hill because of Friends (there will be more) In some cases I'll name the friends..... ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Richard Brickstock - 1991 Mazda MX5 MKI  Mods – lowered, wheels, coilovers, strut brace, chassis brace, stainless exhaust, induction air filter, roll bar, short shift kit, nankang ns2r. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- David Whitefield 1988 Cadillac Brougham Hearse  Mods - Long…. Larger injectors this year so more group b'esque noises!!
