Porsche 928 Project car for sale.
This Pewter 928 is a 1984 "crossover S/S2", so it's got the early style seats but the S2 "motronic" twin dizzy engine as opposed to the k-jet. It is a 4.7 310hp model with 4-speed automatic transmission. It is a non-sunroof model which is quite rare. The seats are blue leather and are electrically operated.
So what does it need?
Well, it's a runner which is nice. It had a £10,000 engine rebuild and £3,000 gearbox rebuild in 2001 and has done around 45,000 miles since then so mechanically it is very robust.
But...
It has been neglected in the last owners care (5 years) and done hardly any miles in this time. Although it has been dry stored which is a plus.
It also has a huge history file and all keys etc.
It needs:
- Fuel tank cradle (approx £250)
- General tidying on the interior
- General tidying on the body, probably a front end respray and the passenger side rear quarter due to surface rust around the window aperture
- Probably a fresh service and all the vac/water hoses going over
- Probably a timing belt service
This car is a perfect rolling restoration project that can be used and improved and is now quite a hard thing to find, since the price of these long-underrated Porsche's have gone through the roof recently!
Just the two photos for now I'm afraid!
I think it's fairly priced. Give me a shout for more details! Thanks!
