I decided to buy a the MG a few months ago and like any honourable car owner I placed it on my drive for all to see. I love watched the rain bounce off its bonnet I just think its mesmerising. I bought the car for three and a half grand which I thought was a stella deal. However the car needs a little more than a bit of tlc. However the guy selling me the car was really kind and gave me a good deal on some fuel injectors which obviously being a good bargain hunter I snapped them up. So obviously I needed to set aside some time for fixing the car as it was going to be more of a project than I first realised.
so far I have been getting my car fixing tips from my son. He is an avid player of the game Team fortress two and always, without fail plays the engineer character who uses a wrench. So I feel as if he would know what he was talking about. He told me that in the game they use a wrench to hit objects and it fixes them. So my car had a bit rust so I broke out the wrench and starting hitting it as hard as possible. For the last two weeks I have been doing this for thirty minutes a day but the car still doesn't seem to start. Could you give me some tips on how I should be going about using my wrench. I feel like this method has potential but maybe i'm holding it incorrectly or swinging to wildly. Could you please explain to me what I'm meant to do?
Just as a side note my previous cars have been diesel I just like the look of the pumps better so I have been filing it with diesel not petrol. I didn't think this was an issue because it looked and smelt the same. They probably just charge the extra for environmental reasons right?
Thank you for all your help Becky x

Dear Rebecca
My car is also currently a non starter so I'm intrigued as to how you got your non-starter to the pumps to fill up with the devils blood?
Also where did you get your magic wrench? Is it a left handed item?

Is it a left handed item? I am left handed so yes I do use my wrench in my left hand. Also it was working however once I filled it up and drove home it started making some odd sounds and thats when I inspected the car to discover it needed a little more than some tlc as there was a fair bit of rust. So car was not a non starter to begin with I guess? Sorry for not making that clear.

I think your'e problem is using a metric spanner when you really need AF for an MG,a few good hits on the rusty areas with a 2 inch AF and your problems will be all over...the driveway..
You could really use an AF or imperial dustpan and brush to sweep up afterwards.

You could really use an AF or imperial dustpan and brush to sweep up afterwards. I think using BSF would solve even more problems. A £3.5 k MG B with rust? And the whole Team Fortress thing? Come on people, this can't be real ... surely? EDIT: My apologies to the OP (Becky) if I have been barking up the wrong tree, but this made me laugh more than make me think.

I'd like to acquire this magic wrench that you speak of Becky, If I download that, will it be able to fix my Jag? The Jag wrench is a different wrench, it builds faster if you hit repeatedly with it, but at the cost of repair speed.

Seeing as this is an MG being discussed, everything presented by the OP seems pretty normal to me. Do carry on.

I think people are getting the wrenches confused. Now i love a good wrench,( or is that wench) but thats another story.
I think the wrench you need is the one from 'Wreck it Ralph', one blow to my head from one of those by my wife, and suddenly seeing everything from her point of view fixes everything! ( available from all good fetish shops)
I hope those injectors you got are the correct left handed thread,BSP fine, and goes without saying the tip needs profiling with toothpaste on a cotton bud.
Also don't forget that being an old british make,it wasn't designed to work on a sunday or bank holidays, and only works for half a day on Wednesdays. Factor that into your repair schedule. If something's not working, check what day it is.

I have found that if you can't fix it with the wrench then you have an electrical problem and that requires unlimited lives and a magician.
