I have decided to sell my Escort to make way for one with a bit more power
It has MOT until 26th November 2016.
Now SORN.
It's had 4 previous owners.
It's on approx 72,000 miles (with majority of old MOT's back to 1994).
There is no service history with the car just a few old receipts.
Pretty quiet engine for an HCS.
Rare factory fitted ABS!
Good tyres.
Very original car.
I have fitted second hand but good Carello headlights.
Everything works on the car.
I fitted a switch for the fan but later found it actually does kick in itself :doh:
I have had the car for 2 years and it has never let me down.
Orginal spare and jack/brace.
In my ownership it's had;
New windscreen.
New shoes and cylinders.
New battery.
New alternator.
New temp sensor.
One off volt gauge.
Now the bad bits;
The main issue is the crossmember is rusty.
I do have a mint one cut from another chassis kindly given to me.
It had 1 previous welding repair in the boot when I got it and had 1 more small area at the rear of the drivers sill for an MOT.
Apart from this (bar the obvious blemishes for a car this age) the rest is solid i.e. sills, floor pans, battery tray etc...
The rear arches aren't too bad.
The car also had a knock on the boot before I got it and the boot lock doesn't 'lock'.
The car will come with a Ford stereo but has no loom or code I'm afraid.
I will be removing the mud flaps and changing to the standard steering wheel.
Any potential buyer will get to keep the bad boy exhaust trim, the SONY booming speakers and also a free 'Escort' keyring :woohoo: (oh and pressed metal EU plates ).
I will let the pictures do the talking.
I was hoping for around £395 ono.
Also don't know if the reg could be transferred to a BMW perhaps?
