Now Sold - thanks for the advert !!
Here we have an excellent and very versatile race home - I built it to carry my race car and still be able to sit and sleep in comfort.
The lorry is a 7.5t MAN/VW - 1987 - drives really well even when loaded, straight 6 - 6 ltr diesel. Power steering, tacho - MOT EXEMPT - yes - really ! Classified as a special vehicle and therefore MOT exempt. Road tax is £260 per year (if I remember correctly). All 6 tyres are good - as is the spare. I got insurance cover as a classic truck for under £200.
Power steering, seats 3 in the cab, reversing camera.
Good capacity winch which can be controlled from inside the car (long lead) fixed ramps inside the lorry with detachable aluminium 2 t ramps. The winch is partially sunken into the floor and securely fitted to the sub chassis. There are removable aluminium steps to the side door.
Max length of car is 13ft 3" ramp width is a tad under 7ft
The living accomodation is at the front of the 20ft x 8ft lorry body and has gas cooker, sink, 3 way fridge and gas/elec hot water heater.
The double bed forms a seating area for 4 during the day and there is a small day table and larger separate table. The loo is discretely fitted in the corner. You can sleep as many people as you can fit in the back (15 plus on air beds I reckon!) Comes with 2 inflatable single mattresses
The body roof has had spray foam insulation internally applied, the walls in the living area are clad with oiled ply and the walls to the rear are aluminium sheeting. The roof material (correct glassfibre sheet) is newly fitted.
There are two 12v leisure batteries, one for the winch and one for the electrics within the living area, these can be charged via the elec hookup or when driving along thanks to a (new) 24v to 12v intelligent dropper from the lorry batteries. There are 240v outlets and USB charge points in the living area.
Fresh water is from an onboard removable container and pumped via a new shurflo pump to the kitchen taps. There is a black waste water removable container (not shown)
Sorry about the quality of the external pics, I will get the lorry out of the yard tomorrow and post some pics.
All round a great recreational vehicle with the character of an older truck - pm me with a contact number and I will give you a call.
Bad point - external paint is starting to show age but the cab would mop up i reckon, as would the majority of the lorry body.
Sensible offers accepted - I don't really want anything in part exchange thankyou ! I can deliver if need be - just cover the cost of diesel to get to you and my rail fare back !

Apparently this truck was used to support Jensen Button during his karting career !
