As some of you may know my Carlton is off the road after failing its MOT in spectacular fashion. It needs a spectacular amount of welding. Now I could just patch it up, re-MOT it and carry on regardless, but I've decided upon a bit of a full on restoring instead, which as it needs so much welding, and the paint is in very poor condition anyway means I'm thinking about painting it... Sometime way off in the future. As you can see it is Gold, and I'd quite like it to remain gold (although green, and also white has been talked about) The trouble is I don't think it's the best gold out there, it's just a bit wishy washy for me, I want something a bit richer, a bit deeper. So, show me your GOLD cars, and if possible tell me what the colour is called, and its manufacturers paint code.

Images are few and far between, but the later KAW Sahara Yellow Peugeot offered might be of interest I always had a soft spot for Blaze yellow, M0DX, though that might be a bit too orange 585 Damietta Quartz from Lexus might be a bit more suitable. Much more restrained than Peugeots offerings, but without looking Beige.

(Not mine) but the ultimate gold paint job - REAL Gold; I think there's probably a bit of a theme going on here, i.e. the people who have commissioned these real gold paint-jobs almost certainly have a lot more money than; a) Sense. b) Taste.

If it can be fixed with a hammer, then it must be an electrical fault

Pagan Gold, whenever I see that colour in The Rodders Journal, or whatever I always think it's an awesome colour, I don't know why I didn't think of it myself. I keep seeing a gold subaru legacy around that I live in, and that's a pretty good gold too, it looks like a pretty fresh job too, I don't suppose anyone knows of this car, and its colour? That peugeot blaze yellow looks pretty close!

Yep, I'd say that's it. Is that a stock subaru colour? Looks like they only used it for a couple of years at most, can only find references to 1998 and 1999 model years in that colour, but is was factory.

"Melon Green" which is a pale gold in person looks lovely in the sun. Do it in a silvia s13 (same as it is now) two tone kind of style with a mid-deep grey lower portion.

I can't really help with a colour code, but when I think of gold cars I think back to the Bond Equipe that was on ebay a while back. Part of me wanted to hate it, but a greater part of me wanted to buy it and make sure the colour was never changed. So wrong it's right.
