Just bought myself another Volkswagen T4 van. Had one years ago and it was just a really useful thing to have. I've also had lots of VW Bay window busses and T25's but from a practical point the T4 takes some beating. The last one I had was an absolute heap of an ex-AA van which looked like this when I bought it..... After a bit of work it looked like this..... The green bottom part left by the AA was painted over, a gentle whack with the lowering stick and a bargain set of alloys from the many which fit on a VAG vehicle! The inside got a makeover too. I've always regretted selling it a bit and so this week when I saw this for sale I grabbed it quick. Totally stock at the moment and low mileage with just a couple of owners. It's a pukka caravelle with all the refinements you'd expect. It was originally a VW demo vehicle so just about everything on the caravelle options list got ticked. It's a great van but looks a bit boring at the moment. Now to decide how to make my mark on it

Very little progress to report unfortunately due to work and other stuff getting in the way. Swapped out the front indicator lenses for smoked ones and trial fitted one of the alloys I had tucked away in the garage. They are fairly rare AVALINI ones made in Italy but are a direct replacement for the original steel wheels and would take the same tyres (handy as the set on my steel wheels are almost new) but I've got a nagging doubt about fitting them. They are certainly better looking than the original steels..... but I've always loved a nicely (or even brightly) painted steel wheel. Something like this was what I had in mind......... Only thing is, what colour to paint them. Don't want black or silver, thinking of something lairy! Any suggestions?

Looks great, I'm a bit biased towards blue Caravelles, though. This is mine Which engine do you have?

Very nice van, always liked the T4. My uncle just bought a kitted out camper and he has got me itching now. Looking on a daily basis.
I look forward to your progression.
