Helloooooo,
It is a sad day indeed. I've had this car for around 3 years now. I bought it as a completely original 1.2 8v with 40k miles that I used for uni and work for around 10k miles. After the exhaust fell off and the car started using coolant, I decided it was time to put it a bigger engine in (naturally). The car was converted at 51k miles and I have the original clocks and pics of the conversion.
I bought an engine, loom, ecu, radiator, air box, gauges, exhaust/manifold, clutch and some other bits and pieces and got to work.
Before the engine went it, it had some fresh core plugs and a gates timing belt kit as well as the obligatory service.
Some of the upgrades:
Stainless steel exhaust (mongoose I think?)
Williams manifold
Stainless decat pipe
4th mount (reduces engine movement hugely)
Polybushed gearbox dog bone mount
Renault 5 Turbo clutch kit
Soft Pedal Conversion (takes away the standard heavy clutch of the 16v and turbo clutches)
Car has power steering now as well!
Valver seats front and rear (much better bolstering and so comfy!), although it has a standard front passenger seat in at present as the valver one needs a small repair to the frame.
Lowered front and rear: spax shocks with apex springs on the front and it's been lowered on the torsion bar on the rear with spax shocks fitted as well.
Otherwise the car is a base model clio, wind up windows, pop out rears etc.
It's a really cool car, and a proper sleeper with a really good spec underneath.
I used it daily for a while after the conversion but since then, it's just been parked up and in need of some loving.
It needs tyres all round, and discs and pads (still on standard wheels and brakes). However......
I will include in the sale, a set of 1.8 16v clio Calipers, with discs and pads ready to go on. The calipers could probably do with a refurb, but they bolt straight on with the larger discs.
It obviously needs an MOT as well. I will put a fresh battery on it so it will be running perfectly.
I will also include a set of 5 williams steel wheels. These are the spare wheel off of a williams. They are 15 inch and I think 6.5. These would look brilliant rubbed down and painted silver or black, and would keep the sleeper look (this is what I had planned).
I'm gutted to have to part with it, I had planned to get it on track, but I have 3 740i's, a skyline, and motorbikes, it's just not going to happen.
In reality it only needs the tyres on the wheels and some time spent on the brakes, and it will be back on the road.
If it's not gone within the next week, I'll try and get some time to do it myself, but I work away a lot, so it's proving difficult.
Looking for £500, I may be able to deliver the car (if my costs are covered) if this is a problem for anyone.
Piiiiiiiccccsssss
Any questions, just drop me a message or feel free to call me on 07534530076.
Cheers
