I bought this on a whim off here as I had a crazy idea of getting the engine into a clio.
After having a long chat with myself I realise I don't have the time or facilities to do this, Ill stick to an engine conversion I know I can do instead. (even though it would have been a monster)
So Its up for sale already after about 2 months ownership.
I say its rough but its not that bad really.
Interior is dirty and mismatched, most plastics are broken or missing.
Seat belt doesn't return
Don't know the radio code.
Exterior, will clean up well with some work, cant see many dents, maybe one in the boot lid. Passenger arch has creased by the door and catches when opened.
Bumpers are faded, but a nothing that shoe polish wouldn't cure.
Engine has an oil leak. I think this is coming from most seals (mainly crank and cam seals though) because of pressure built up from the PVC.
I put a glove on the filler cap and it blew up. So for now I have taken the spark plug cover off and un plugged the PVC, seems to be leaking a hell of alot less now, if atall. Cardboard is being left underneath and now i have done this it only has a few drips when not running (i think this is residue coming off the engine), none when running. I t was streaming out before i took the pipe off.
Good stuff.
Has yellow springs (possibly apex) all round
Engine has spot on compression (155-160 on all 5)
The small drive I had boosted ok
Sounds awesome because of an exhaust blow.
Had MOT when I got it, drove fine on the way home. Only reasons it may struggle to get MOT again would be exhaust blow at flexi joint.
Comes with 6 columbas (2 spares)
Not going to be greedy, I just want back what i have in it. Asking £350
It could make an awesome stripped out track car, or use it for spares.
Car is located in Leagrave Luton, at a friends house.
