My father-in-law has very kindly given me a very generous cheque. I have been thinking about one of those lifts like the CJ Autos tilting lift www.cjautos.eu/product_p/cl01.htmAnyone any experience of them, or recommend anything similar they've used? I needs to be reasonably lightweight, I would need to me able to move it from the garage out onto the drive. So the Holden hydraulic lift which is a much heavier bit of kit isn't viable. Ta. Paul. |

I have looked at them in the past, theres a couple of video's on youtube of them in operation, but I decided they wouldn't suit my needs.

You can get better access with a set of 4 x 12 ton axle stands  Mine lift to nearly 3'. Seriously though the lift is little better than you'd get with a decent trolley jack and then use axle stands. |

A mate picked one up second hand not so long ago, he was explaining it to me, could not picture it, saw it in action a couple of weeks ago, he is restoring an Alfa sud, it's fantastic.  |

That's really cool. I've been looking at getting a scissor lift for my workshop but this looks ideal, easier to store away and cost effective too.
It looks ideal if you only need wheels, bumpers and panels off. Not so good for exhaust work though?

I've got one and they tilt as well as go up to 600mm so you can get the front or rear a huge way off the floor f. I waxoyl mine one end at a time sat on a comfy stool and get none on my face or hair anymore
