So, the time has come. I've made the decision that I need another skyline in my life and the only way is to sell a couple of cars.
First up is my cup car. Very well known within the GT community. Originally a Harlow motorsport car, she vanished off the radar for a few years until around 2009 I believe. Since then, it's been in the hands of 4 GT turbo enthusiasts and seen a fair few track sessions.
Mechanically, she's running her original 'Cup' spec and is making in the region of 140bhp and weighing less than an empty bag of crisps.
Bits worth highlighting:
Engine built by Mark Fish of Harlow Motorsport, a name synonymous with the Renault 5 cup cars.
Standard T2 in perfect condition
Varley race battery
Alloy breather tank
Alloy ram feed airbox located behind bumper
Devil side exit exhaust with a silencer fitted to make her 'noise limit' friendly
Original cup brake ducts
Original cup wheels with Michelin full race slicks (the best thing ever!)
Koni shocks all round
Ferrodo ds2500 brake pads
Devil strut brace
Plumbed in fire extinguisher
Ignition cut off switches
Original roll cage
Cobra bucket seats
Luke harnesses
Perspex windows all round (except windscreen)
The engine was partially stripped last year and inspected and fitted with a 'Klinger' head gasket.
Carb was also cleaned last year
She handles really well and as you can imagine is no slouch.
Great fun and a living piece of renault motorsport history.
Available for viewings on weekends in grimsby DN33
I'm asking for £6,500. No offers please. I must stress that I'm not looking to swap or part ex but I could possibly be swayed by a nice early Evo.
