Decided to make the most of the weekend's fairly good weather by clearing out the garage, and doing some work on the cars. Whilst going through the garage I found a set of allen keys, which immediately made me look at the Ghia sitting on the drive (anyone with any knowledge of sway-away- suspension will see where I'm going here!). 20 minutes later the Ghia had gone from looking like this; to looking like this; Sweet I thought! Until I tried to put it back in the garage and heard the sound of the anti-roll bar trying to rip my drive apart. Doh! Guess I know what I'll be removing next weekend!

Kenny G's looking sweet there Scott! What's the deal with slamming the Polo? The links you sent me didn't work!!!!!! Grrrr. EDIT: Links working now. Very odd. I reckon you gotta be going for the black & polished silver jobs. THey'll look really sweet against the Polo's black paintwork. Cool as fugg! ;D

we've all done something similar ! ;D reminds me of my g/friends old '66 empi bug - driving down the motorway on the way to run to the sun and a smell of burning rubber and a scuffed front n/s tyre told me it was too low ! it was fine on the sunday but then the added weight of people - tent - beer... you get the picture !

I thought exactly the same thing. Feels like I'm single handedly keeping eBay in business at the moment.

Just remember - your car isn't too low, it's the ground that's too high.

Reminds me of the time i worked for a Fiat/Alfa dealer We had one Alfa 156 owner whose car wouldn't go up his driveway after 6 months as the suspension had sagged and it was bottoming out. Another 156 owner bought a 1986 Golf GTi as a second car to go down small sideroads as the 156 was bottoming out. And the garage had a 156 2.4 TD demo that had 3 sumps fitted in 6 months...
