1.8 litre (130bhp) engine
160,000 miles
MOT due: April 2016 (will get a fresh 12 months MOT for the new owner)
Very regretful sale – has been a faultless car during my ownership. I'm only really selling her as I've bought a bigger car and don't get enough use these days.
High mileage but impossible to tell; all electrics work, interior is not worn (apart from driver’s seat), no knocks or rattles, tracks and brakes in a straight line.
Passed previous MOT with only advisories on tyre tread, which have since been replaced.
The car is a Cat C (according to Autotrader, was told it was a Cat D by the previous owner) for a front-end bump at some point in its early life. It has been repaired very well, so much so that I can't tell it's even had a bump. Doesn't affect the handling/ride at all.
Good points:
Optional Extras from factory: ABS, Power Steering, Electric Windows, Electric Mirrors, Electric Aerial
40mm lowered on Koni adjustable damper coilovers
5Race rollbar (not a style bar) fitted to chassis with spreader plates
New branded tyres – Falkens on front (~6000 miles) and Firestones on rear (less than 1000 miles)
Twin exit MX5Parts stainless cat-back exhaust system
Upgraded Pioneer speakers
Boot rack
Regularly serviced including diff and gearbox oils
Original Mazda documentation (manual, warranty card etc.) in original Mazda leather cover
Glass rear window and good vinyl roof
Good 14” wheels – no excessive scuffing
Laser tracking alignment taking into account 40mm lowering, with printouts
Locking wheel nuts
Undersealed
Timing increased to 12° advance
Momo steering wheel with airbag
Bad points:
3 small areas of rust bubbling on nearside rear arch/sill (rear)
1 area of small rust bubbling on offside sill (rear)
Worn driver’s seat covering (does not affect the comfort of the seat at all)
Very small tear in roof on nearside although drain point is directly behind, so does not leak
Seals around top of doors could do with replacing as they collect water in heavy rain
Small patches of scratched paint where boot rack has sat (may T-cut out)
Rear demister is not connected
The album of pictures can be found here: imgur.com/a/2FWA5
Open to offers around £900
I am not interested in any swaps apart from a classic Mini
Any questions let me know
Cheers!
