LR Series III Hybrid V8, Full MOT, Stratford Avon, £1900
Had this for about 3 years now, not really used as much as I should have.
Officially its Series III with a V8 and the V5 says this as well.
Some point in its life been replaced with Range Rover V8 running gear I believe, so coil sprung 3.5 V8 on carbs and Auto Gearbox.
For an unknown reason one of the previous owners relocated the fuel tank to the rear tub, hence the step in the rear.
Roll Bar fitted internally, with a crude shelf essentially to cover a void.
Seems to take an age to warm up as these old engines do but once its warmed up it goes very well. Its by no means fast, but it seems / sounds fast.
Bit rough round the edges, every panel with a few dents.
I believe Honda Accord seats fitted in the front.
Power steering, autobox & the silky response from the V8 make it bloody lovely to drive around town!
Be sad to see him go, but too many unfinished projects mean somethings got to go.
Flew through MOT today, only issue being rear number plate light wasn't working.
Chassis & bulkhead both seem remarkably good condition
Genuinely sad to see him go.
Looking for £1900, Stratford Upon Avon, CV379JQ.
07985 - 564852 Tom.
