Hi, my cousin bought a 1967 Corsair 1.7 essex 2 door last year. Since he bought it last year with newly honed and overhauled master and slave clutch cylinders, the Clutch pedal has become progressively worse. The throw has been less and less, and we found out that the bore is pockmarked and wearing out the seals, since it has been overhauled so many times over the years. The cylinders are girling i believe. Where is a good place on the interwebs to find new master and slave cylinders for this Corsair? What I should search for, what cars have the same cylinders? Have a few pics:

Hi, Any where that caters for old school fords contemporary with the Corsair like Cortina, Capri and Anglia. If you know the bore size you can hunt for it by size among for instance competition suppliers. Other makers used them as well Land Rovers for example used Girling Hydraulics, suppliers for them offer pattern and genuine items. Another avenue is to have the cylinder bored and sleeved with stainless.

New Corsair slave cylinders are a horrendous price when you can find them. You must also make sure the clutch master cylinder is replaced with one of the correct bore size as this would also reduce slave travel if you use a small bore one.
According to the Ford workshop V4 manual,
Clutch Master is .750" bore Slave cylinder is 1" bore
So I'd be inclined to get your slave re sleeved as suggested. The Clutch master cyl also has a larger diameter pipe outlet thread (not the normal 3/8 UNF) which are also difficult to find new. So might be worth getting that reconditioned as well.

It not just about originality, its about the clutch working properly. The original Corsair m/cyl that takes bigger pipe nut also has a bigger hole in it. It needs to move more fluid to get the right amount of movement at the slave cylinder. The V4 bell housing has a longer arm than the inline bell/h. So needs more movement at the slave to disengage. Thats how and why Ford did it without getting a heavy pedal.
