Early Pre face volvo 244 1978/79,
2.1 carb, 4 speed overdrive,
At a little over 1200kgs, a little over 100hp, a low ratio diff and Carb throttle response....it's not as slow as you'd think...
For the right deal I can possibly include my rare as s*** 16v head with high lift pz cams, but it'd have to be the right car!
Manual gearbox, Manual windows, no power steering, no traction control, rear wheel drive, Manual choke.....everything a cool car should be!
Runs and drives spot on just no mot or tax,
Engine fully serviced, new brake hoses, replacement brake calipers, new clutch slave cylinder, brake master, clutch and brakes bled up, electronic ignition, banded steels, deep dish steering wheel, new plates, American style bonnet pins, new standard exhaust, full cream leather interior etc etc
Comes with new windscreen trim clips for the chrome trim,
I also have a later propshaft / rear axle, a full black leather interior, standard steering wheel and wheels, probably a load of other parts...
Everything to finish the car is there and it'll literally take a little wiring for headlights to get a full mot
Brakes work, horn works, engine starts first turn of the key....
Bad bits:
Headlight wiring not perfect,
No rot but surface rust, few dints and lots of lacquer peel (but I like all that, perfect ratrod)
I'm looking to swap for something else retro, preferably something hotrod / ratrod kinda style,
I'd love another beetle!
