I sold the Micra a couple of weeks ago, so to fill the gap on my drive I bought a small red car.
This one has to be sensible. This I have interpreted as, being able to get over speedbumps with passengers on board, for the children to be able to get in and out (harnesses and two doorness of the Micra hampered that) and for it to be newer and require less fixinging.
I was also supposed to be getting something boring so I spent less time interwebbing about it. It hasn't succeeded so far!
Somehow - with assistance from the Mrs it was decided that a Wagon R+ would fit the bill. Handily I had some wheels in 4x100 in stock. And some the that could be with a little effort.
I'm just going to dump a few pics now, and do a proper update when definite progress has been made.

You have no idea how much I would love to build this as a widebody. Proper metal arches and extended bumpers.
Really cant wait to see how this turns out because the Micra was awesome.

Currently sitting on it's fairly attractive oem steels, I do not like silver plastic wheel trims. 14" with 165/60's. They only have 4.5 jays!

They are rather cool - but arches already bought.

I've always loved weird and wacky cars especially Kei cars and not your run of the mill dailies. I loved your micra and now can't wait to see what you do to this. I do want an Agila in the same shape as this as my Bertone Coupe can be thirsty.

I'm moving away from the idea of gold and back to black, I think the wheels will look great with black centres, and the arches will add to the amount of black on the car already. Maybe Shelby stripes over it, chin spoiler, bit of rake and side exits in front of each rear wheel. I got all excited when the tyres were delivered earlier and mounted one of the rears. Trial fit will be happening some time while waiting for the long studs and arches to arrive. I'll lazy cut a disk of hips to glue over the wheel center to cover the extra holes, once painted it'll be as good as invisible.

Snap! I got one of these a couple of weeks ago, same colour, too. I was heading down the Mini steels and 165/50s route with mine, but having seen yours, may have to reconsider...

You'd struggle to get the mini wheels on the front, even 13's will be hard. My colour plans have changed again. I'm almost definately going all bronze now. I've also made up some blanking plates to hide the double drilling.

Bronze is a good call.
Is that a 175/60 on a 7 or 8J rim?

175/60 on 8", and there's 155/65 to go on the 7's so the stretch should be about even.

I made a really rubbish job of the prep and paint rushing to get them done for fitting at the weekend. Long studs have arrived, but I'm still waiting for the arches. Fingers crossed for tomorrow.

Hi,
You can fit G13B 1300 Swift Gti into this bad boy. They are 105Bhp(115Bhp easy with bolt on mod) standard 16v DOHC goodness.
Do you want me to send you K-car magazines from Japan?
Cheers Atchi
p.s. I can bring bits for these cars from yahoo auction if you need anything!

Building roof chopped, screen raked '68 Mini with G13B 1.3 16v Gti engine with LSD, Yamaha R1 carbs. As well as mk1 Suzuki Swift Gti AWD with a turbo. Drives PHEV Outlander but wishing my mk1 Swift Gti or mk2 CRX Vt were still with me!
