Hi all. My workshop is in a rented barn, and the cement board roof covers everything in a layer of nice gritty dust. What's the cheapest paint I could spray it with through my spray gun to seal it up? It's a standard bodywork gun, and obviously I don't want to knacker it for use with car paint afterwards. Cheers

One of our 10 storey offices was found to have asbestos board covering the steel structure. Ordinary, cheap, gloss was deemed sufficient to seal the surfaces.

Nice one fellas, the qd3 sounds spot on. Will make the place loads brighter too, if I go for a cream/white colour. A bit of expandyfoam under the corrugations will help to keep the draught out, and it might be almost habitable in the winter! Any ideas on how to fix the couple of annoying little leaks while I'm at it?

Fibreglass jam? For bigger cracks use flash band or glass fibre matting and resin

I can't really get on the roof, so CT1 mastic might be good if I can find where the leak comes from. Flashband would be the shizzle if I can get on top of the thing. Good thinking, cheers

If it's asbestos cement don't brush it on. Spray it. We deal with asbestos at work. Strictly speaking if it's deteriorated it needs removing

Hadn't thought of it being asbestos! I was going to spray it anyway, painting corrugated board would be a pain in the bum. I think I might get one of the cheapo hvlp guns with a leccy turbine on the back of it, safer than using my decent bodywork gun, and probably quicker to get decent coverage from.
