ive just been to see this .. not as pretty or as immaculate underneath as suggested! Drivers sill underside construction doesnt even look ado16 or the rear arch to rear subframe areas.. I will let these photos do the rest but id don't suggest the miles is original in anyway and has no history just logbook. Second photo shows the rear boot floor split across, this is the subframe mounting area .. there is that much wrong i cant see how its passed any genuine mot when it did. There is also accident damage been badly repaired drivers front wing - front panel.. his ebay photo does show indicator side light unit on a angle but his photos makes this car look lovely.. photos lie so much ! Drivers front floor.. i pressed it and felt like was going to go through.. Rear boot floor corner- subframe mounting area Engine Bay.. battery doesnt fit in tray and sitting on engine

Those archs just do not look right , they have certainly been painted . The rear arches are terrible.. near side is the better one.. off side is terrible.. the arch is welded and filled badly and the shape is all wrong.. structure is terrible... the underside there is no closing sill or membrane on drivers side.. there is accident poor repair work off side front wing and floors are terrible..its been shultz to death and the crossply tyres are finsished.. there is that much tyre paint trying to cover the cracks there is runs off paint on the side wall! the windows are etched with another registration number.. seller says it had a private plate but there is no history to confirm anything.. just logbook and one mot. people are bidding without seeing.. feel sorry for whoever wins the car i really do.. they had the car ready for me also.. warmed up and hose pipe out and water covered the car..

The later GT that was for sale on this very parish was MY old gt.. i sold it to the then seller here for £4000.. car was perfect in all respects.. i body coloured the car all underneath, subframes off and all detailed.. genuine miles, never welded,no filler or accident damage, went like stink and interior, chrome vinyl roof AS new.. i fitted wheel arch liners, stainless exhaust... ive searched long and hard for this car ever since inc contacting the seller on here.. the car hasnt been motd and on sorn for the last four years.. this is where my GT love afair started and should never off sold it and wasnt in a good place in my life when i did.. big mistake

Thing is, no point in regretting it - there's always a reason at the time why a car has to go and as time passes it's easy to forget that and to start kicking yourself. Life changes, time passes and you only remember the car not the reason. You'll get another mate.

I really hope i do get one.. i do have other classics but I'm on settling until the right GT comes along. I no when it does i will have to pay a premium as thats what how the market is going.. until then will just enjoy what i have but still daily searching!

As far as ADO16 is concerned my personal preference is for the twin carb 1300, ideally in 2 door so I don't tend to search for 1100s however, this pair of twin-tone beauties in MG flavour caught my eye; MG 1100. Manchester. £5,975.00 (or offer). 27K miles from new. Worth checking out MOT history. MG 1100. Perth. £4,750.00 (or offer). 2012 restoration. Out of MOT. C88K miles.

Ive been and seen the mk1 mg 1100 last week.. the green and white one... isnt for me.. The brown riley sold last week for £2600 on ebay to the dealer selling it now.. i spoke to the seller who originaly sold it last week and he was honest that the bulkhead was gone and leaking in water into the footwells in the rain hence i didnt bid.. If you look at the photo attached below you can see the engine bay photo you can see the bulkhead vents are covered over with black tape to keep the water out. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Riley-Kestrel-1300-/163226052891?nordt=true&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.m43663.l10137

There's a gt on gumtree nearly 10k Well spotted, it's a car that has been repeatedly advertised over a period of months on various sites and is covered in earlier posts on here. Apparently it's a bit rougher than it looks in these grainy lo-res photos and people who've been to see it are of the opinion that it's overpriced for what it is; www.gumtree.com/p/austin/austin-1300-mk-2-gt-genuine-26000-miles-3-owners-/1312975292
