Hey guys
This is my last bready to go.. Affectionately known as Pippa. She is charming and awesome. I'm paying £60 a month to store her and I can no longer afford the storage.
Had a few owners, has been a cat C (minor don't worry) and little service history (lost by PO) other than a cambelt and water pump in 2012. Usually I go for one owner, FSH motors and she's actually caused me the least problems.
I've serviced her every 3k or so with Synta silver 10/40 and done any little bits needed.
Despite the above she's commuted me from Manchester to Derbyshire every day in the past, as well as many other long trips and never let me down. I've even lived out the back of this car with a tent and all my belongings packed in. She's a proper trooper and will be sorely missed. I've owned this car twice!
Nearly on 80k miles (from memory)
1043cc ,4 speed box on pierburg carb.
No MOT, passed last one with no advisories
Tornado red - rough and ready paint!
Lowered on a cheapo 80/60 kit.
Pressed plates (reflective ones)
New tyres all round before storage
Few other new bits and bobs over the years.
For those of you who know, the later ones of these were usually Spanish. Pippa is a German one (Wolfsburg on the VIN plate).
Bit crusty on the front wings, rear arches are good for these, other than the usual filler neck rot (sanded back and zinc primed to keep it from getting worse in storage) Tank wasn't leaking prior to storage.
Battery tray needs sorting and a hole in the spare wheel well.
Down pipe from manifold (new) needs connecting properly and the clutch is a bit high - been like this for years, didn't slip.. might just need adjusting.
Was running brilliantly prior to storage and drove there fine. I just has too many projects on at the time. Obviously battery is flat and she's been hibernating for nearly two years or so. PLEASE BARE IN MIND SHES BEEN GARAGED FOR NEARLY TWO YEARS SO MAY NEED LIGHT COMMISSIONING.
Best to come view her, have a good look around. Will need to be towed / trailered upon collection. She is what she is, don't expect a show car. Little bit of work and tidying and you've got yourself Pippa on the road, guaranteed smiles trust me.
I know she's just a lump of metal, but I'd rather her be put back on the road as opposed to been a breaker. She's the best bready I've owned, its been a stress free old VW ownership - most others have p**sed me off a lot.
