Don't get me wrong, I fully understand the reasons behind using the modern interior and to be fair, I'd want all the creature comforts too. I'm just not a fan of the grey seats I think, possibly look a bit bulky to my eye...but I'm sure they are comfy and as said, totally get why you'd want to stick with them instead of making use of something different. I look forward to seeing it on the white walls.

The new owners can always change the seats for more appropriate period seats, or why not just some seat covers to brake the grey in the cab.

Went to look for some red steelies with white walls so I can shop them on the truck and this seemed close enough.

Surely they must be in Red Oxide though?...
Cracking work - yet again!
From a UK (and personal perspective) I'm not a fan of the grey but a) it does seem to be a "USA" thing and b) a new owner can retrim it to their tastes if they wish. At least being "standard" bits, it probably makes retrim kits easier to locate I assume?

I look forward to seeing it on the white walls. i agree in theory. for benefit of grenade there is a program here in uk called "grand designs" where people do up old houses or startling new builds. so, take a 12th century castle, convert it for modern living, then they run to english heritage about adding an extension for the open plan kitchen to actually make it habitable, the plans look amazing all blended in to the 1000 year old structure. but, EH wont let you build an extension on the side if its in original stone and dispatched with the high levels of craftsmanship of the original, because it becomes a replica. but, oddly, they are ok with a steel frame and glass "thing" tacked on the side which looks like a space ship plucked from the affluent suburbs of L.A and dropped it in surrey. the reaon is because it ISNT pretending to be the original castle. kind of new/old yin yang. personally i;d love to see grenades interiors with cream vinyl, red pin striping, gloss painted steel finishes on the dash pod and instruments. but as above, you end up making a pastiche of "retro", and (not putting words into grenades mouth) these trucks were always designed and built to be modern truck with a old truck plonked on top wih great aplomb. so you cant really argue with the design brief, which is being met.

Interesting stuff. I was thinking the steel wheels might stay silver, because they are stock silver wheels with center caps. Plus I think that I'm going to leave the steel patches bare steel color instead of rusting them up. This truck has a silver & blue with rust look to it and There will be whitewalls and a white & blue Mobil Gas vintage door decal. I think it will all co-ordinate well. But if not, I'll paint the rims black. I'll post up a pic of the steel wheels I'll be using, later tonight.

I think the wheels would be best, as understated as possible.

Grenades threads make me want to emigrate to 'murica. Such cool projects there, and no rules it would seem.

The quality of build and the speed you make it happen are simply stunning. You're setting the bar pretty high for anyone that fancies having a go themselves (me included!)

You've got the skills, don't worry about that! I've cleaned the paint- you wouldn't believe the transformation of color! I'll get pics later. Unreal.

And now I really have a problem...
Well, maybe not.
Or.......
Well, I loved the first set of side exit exhausts, Marmite maybe, but I loved it.
Now the new exit is equally in my camp of like.
Question it, which do I prefer.......??
Not really sure, but as I have a pair of square/rectangular Corvette stainless tips that are 95% getting fitted forward of my rear wheels, I guess the latest ones get my vote, but the double barrel side exit really did it for me, cozy it was more in your face.
Looking good Grenade, you are doing incredibly well, and I just want to own one of your trucks. Simple really.

love the exhaust, love the exhaust, love the exhaust!....NAILED IT, MAN!
really nice work on the running boards, I think they tie the whole lower half of the truck together, if not the whole thing!.
trailer hitch is a great idea to keep, of course.... does it need lowering, or no.....
this is so cool

I'm with lilred on this one. That exhaust is so much better than the last one (which, I have to be honest I really didn't like ) really very cool. The truck is awesome regardless, as was the last one!
