Hello,
My girlfriend is selling her beloved '82 Capri.
Bodywork is in excellent condition with only a few small spots of surface rust.
I've pasted her advert below.
Please call if you have any questions...
It is with a heavy heart, that I am reluctantly putting my pride and joy up for sale.
My 1982 Ford Capri 1.6ls.
Circumstances have changed, which means I've now purchased a sensible/normal car as I will be doing more motorway driving which I can't justify doing in a classic car with low mileage.
I bought the car in November 2014 and have used it as my daily ever since. I've only put around 11,000 miles on the clock, and is mainly used for town driving.
You'll get a steady 60-65mph on the motorway - and it's a suprisingly comfortable ride!
Since November 2015, I have spent approx. £600 on getting a new carb fitted/manual choke/tuning/general tidy up under the bonnet.
Back in Feb ('16) it had the following work carried out:
Valve clearances adjusted, replaced spark plugs, set ignition timing, replaced timing belt and set timing, replaced inlet manifold gasket, adjusted fuel mixture, rolling road printout too!
The car was completely resprayed in June '14.
Laser 13" 4-spoke wheels fitted a few months back
Accuspark electronic ignition fitted (Dec '14)
Front discs & pads and rear shoes replaced in Feb '16.
Tubular exhaust manifold.
Some service history.
The interior is in fair condition, there is a rip in the seat bolster, and a stain on the drivers seat.
- Sunroof doesn't leak, and still works fine.
- The electronic radio antenna could do with some attention as it stops half way down and makes a buzzing noise.
- still has cassette player installed. Cassette doesn't work, although the radio does
- small scratches down the side of the car
- heater blower doesn't work, although it does give out hot air when the engine is warm. (never been an issue for me - I just put on a scarf)
- Front bumper and skirt is damaged (see pictures). A new bumper can be brought from eBay for £60.
She is ready to be driven away, with nearly a full years MOT (April 2017)
Car is located in South Devon.
£3200
Reasonable offers considered.
No time wasters. Genuine interest only
