So..........
After a lot of deliberation I've decided that it might be better to move the Datsun on to someone else to sort out. I'm trying to start up a business and need to free up some funds to help get this rolling.
Firstly it needs a lot of work, there's known to be around 6 of these left in the UK (known to the Datsun UK club) but it's probably the only one that is currently being modified beyond lowering and wheels. Tbh it's never going to be a minter like some of the others so why not make changes to it.
Panel availability is pretty good, passenger front wings seem to be rare, so I have the only one datman had, I believe he has a selection of panels (pretty sure he has a pair of rear quarters, sills, bumpers, window trims etc).
All in all it needs a fair bit of work but will be pretty unique when finished
Comes with Volvo 240 rear axle (bolted in rear but needs fitting properly I only cut the brackets off and bolted it in to make it mobile - fits nicely!), no engine but I have the loom I converted to fit the ca18det.
I've managed to accidentally scrap the fuel tank, I have an s12 tank that I was going to use the pump from (pretty sure there was a guy who was going to banger an absolutely rotten one so he might be able to help with a tank) front struts have been sectioned to suit mk2 golf dampers and coil over sleeves fitted with adjustable top mounts.
It needs a lot of welding but the main structure is pretty good, worst bits than need attention are around rear windows/ c posts, roof gutter and drivers rear quarter. Doors need repairs to bottom edges, surface rust all over the place, really needs getting back to bare metal and going from there.
Bearing in mind what I have spent on it and what it needs spending, I'm would like around £600
I'm going to spend some time over the next few days refitting parts so it movable and as back together as it can be and will update pictures
