My mk3 mondeo tdci is banging like hell on the drivers front, it feels like it's coming through the car floor. It happens when I apply the brakes but also hitting potholes etc and turning the steering wheel into full lock. I've had this issue 6 months now and replaced the following.
Top mount Drop link Track rod Track rod end Entire bottom wishbone
The only thing I haven't changed is the damper on that corner, it seems fine and has lots of resistance and doesn't sink or leak fluid.
I've also made sure the brakes are tight and they are also.
Has anyone had an issue like this before?

Spring or ARB rubber would be my guess. Not much left after that!?

I should of mentioned, I've just swapped out the driveshaft tonight and it's the same. Steering rack mounting is a good shout though. I'll have to see where it mounts

Possibly a loose subframe bolt?

Subframe is solid and I just fitted a full o/s driveshaft after a garage saying that was the fault. Needless to say it's still knocking, I'm going to look at the bearing next I think.

Whereabouts are you based?
The only thing I can can think of that would cause a banging would be a driveshaft nut, since you have replaced the rest. Otherwise, a drop link is loose.
I don't know about the TDCis but on the Duratec if if the crank bolt was loose, his head would be toast (or rather the valves bent).

Other things to check are engine / gearbox mountings.

Another guess but could it be the steering rack itself ? The forces change on the rack as everything moves. If it's solid mounted to the car any knocks will be transmitted into the car.
