Does anyone have any experience with the various types of devices available for this purpose and recommend a particular type as being the best?
I've seen a few different takes on it from the sockets with pins inside which claim to grip and remove any size nut from 7-19mm or sets of sockets with knurled insides which supposedly grip rounded nuts
I haven't (yet) got a particular nut I have rounded off and need to undo, however in a rare moment of pre-planning, I think it would be a good idea to have some sort of rounded nut solution standing by for a particular job I am planning to undertake in the future (and indeed just in general). Previously I have always gone with the "whale a slightly smaller imperial socket over the rounded nut and hope for the best" method, with varying success.
