Greetings retro folk
What options do I have to lower a chevette /kadett C ? done a fair bit of researching but this is on a budget and not going to go out there and buy new gaz adjustable shocks just 'Because' .
From my limited time researching I have seen that nova rear shocks on the rear of a chevette are shorter than standard , is this true? and as well been told corsa b rear shocks (bilsteins are stupidly cheap) on the front would work, just need to figure how much shorter they are to work out how much to take of the front springs! if so or not what other front and rear shocks from a different car can be used to good effect? I would probably be chopping the springs ( shock horror nuns and kittens will be in the firing line here!!!!) but have also seen saab 900 springs lopped down for the front so I may try that as well.
Just seeing what other shorter standard shock absobers could be used, not got any access to the car or a parts suspension book as of yet hence this post.
Thanks in advance
