Due to time constraints and an offer of a Lancia Fulvia, I am putting the Holden up for sale. If it doesn't sell, it will just go into long term storage.
Here we have for sale the only HK Brougham in the UK. The car started life as a publicity car for GM Europe and was driven around Europe in the hope of getting orders. It was then sold in 1972 from a showroom in Mayfair London to a Lieutenant colonel in the R.A.O.C (Royal Army Ordnance Corp) where it has spent most of its life before being sold to the Gentleman whom I purchased the car from.
Its a 1968 model with metallic blue paintwork, vinyl roof, brocade interior, power steering, power brakes, power windows, limited slip differential, 307ci Chevrolet V8 (original to the car), and 2 speed Powerglide automatic.
Capable of 20mpg, so an excellent cruiser.
The car is now in need of some restoration, mainly to the lower edges of the wings, and the outer sills. The paintwork is also in need of work due to flaking. The car starts and runs lovely, a broken accelerator pedal mount is the only thing stopping it from driving.
The car is complete and ready for its restoration, with restored examples being worth up to £50,000 once back in Australia (about £1000 to ship back).
The car is located in Newcastle upon Tyne.
