I'd be very interested in getting involved with classic rallying - dirt track stuf as opposed to road rallies. Anyone involved? How can I get started? How much does it cost? And all things like that really |

It does look fun! I don't know the first thing about how to get involved though. My brother and I want to do some sort of cheap motorsport (retro car stylee, naturally!), maybe even getting a trackday car or converting one of our existing cars to a trackday car.

I won't be there when you cross the road, so always use the Green Cross Code.

If you're on a budget why not try hill climbing (lots of classic and retro cars there) or auto tests.

When I was at Uni I 'donated' my Morris ital to the people on my course. We each (7 of us) got a key cut and used it like a 'whore vehicle' (if an Ital can be called such). If one of us was out and about in Sunderland and we saw it parked up outside a shop or someones house or something, that person could just use his key to get in and drive off! Most annoying for the person who was using it at the time!!!

Hill climbing is driving round a track on your own against the clock. Sprints are the same but on the flat. Loads of different classes race. Anything from single seater race cars to standard hot hatches.
