Mk1.5 MR2 Turbo Project or Parts Donor in Shropshire £1200.
Blue Mk1 MR2 shell (usual mk1 mr2 rust)
2L Mk2 Turbo Motor (knackered piston in one cylinder but starts and runs)
CT20 Turbo
Blitz Access ECU
Custom stainless exhaust (designed to look standard)
Cobra Monaco seats (cheap)
Mk3 MR2 16in Alloys (tyres knackered)
Mk2 Turbo LSD transmission
Koni Adjustables
Uprated ARBs
Uprated Brakes
Complete spare engine with HKS cams (reputedly 256s, I've never checked).
Many on here will recognise this car as once belonging to Mystery Machine. This was once a very tidy Mk1.5 MR2 however the years have taken their toll, the shell is rusty in all the normal Mk1 places, rear arches, sills, front ARB mounts. Then there is also the fact that I blew the engine at Santa Pod a few years back (2011). Very low compression on one cylinder, but does start and run on three (suspected rings) and is still surprisingly quick. I would suggest that the car would make a better donor for another mk1.5 project or a mk2 n/a conversion. The shell would need a lot of cutting and welding to get through an MOT (although this would not be impossible).
This car gave myself and my friends many many large grins and a few scares. It was crazy fast with up near 300bhp / ton and could worry pretty much anything on the road be it supercar or superbike. I will always remember my first full bore launch (by Bruce on my test drive), this thing was a missile especially with the addition of the Blitz Access ECU!
