Right, now up for sale is my Mini. I bought it back in January, have done all the work that needed doing and today it has gone through MOT with no advisories. It's had all its welding done, is solid as a rock and has had a replacement rear subframe. The work I have done on it is as follows -
Complete new rear brake set up
Front N/S Hub with new balljoints and wheel bearings
Trackrod ends
Steering Rack Gaiters
New Headlamp bowls and all wiring sorted
3 dial dash (although speedo cable needs replacing)
New plugs, HT Leads, Points, Cap etc.
It's also got a set of bucket seats in it, but they aren't the newest, but I do still have the City seats. I also have the rubber trims for the arches, but haven't got around to fitting them yet. The 13" wheels have Continental and Yokohama tyres and they all have loads of life in them.
Its finished in Fiat 424 Royal Blue (it started life in red), and the paint work is ok. The roof has had quite a poor job made of it, but just needs rubbing down and doing properly. It has marks and odds and sods over it (it is an old mini!), and the bonnet has crazing in the paint (think it must have been painted in the cold?), but if you want a mini where all the horrible welding jobs have been done, this is the one for you. Sadly there is no history with it other than the £425,000 worth of receipts I have spent on it (it was off the road for donkeys years before being done up), but it runs well, has a noisy exhaust on it and of course, 12 months MOT!
All in all, its solid and could be made into a super example with someone who is that way inclined. I just want to move on to something else as I've got the Mini thing out of my system now!
£3000, drive it away and enjoy it! Swaps Considered!
