Bmw m3 dakar yellow 3.0
It is a early model that is more reliable without the vanos issues
These cars are all going up in value especially in dakar it is a motorsport model where 572 rhd were only ever made.
features:
scorpion back box
17" staggered diamond cut wheels
original stereo with CD
full black leather interior
chip tuned by bw chip tune whom are a bmw specialist so pushing out close to 315-320 bhp ( car is very fast). have original bmw chip if required to go with the sale.
convertible roof is in good condition for the year
loads of bills and receipts from bmw, car has only ever been to bmw specialists or bmw.
vanos replaced 20,000 miles ago with receipt inside.
car has only had 2 owners across 11 years, in the last 5 years it has been in a heated garage and has only done 70 miles.
tyres are in very good condition 3 have been replaced, so carry good fresh leather.
mot just last month passed with no advisories.
car get loads of attention and looks and people always compliment how rare the color is.
changes gear lovely very smooth change.
has service history but only from later stages in its life as book had been lost but a duplicate had been ordered and been stamped from 78,000-98000 miles.
however there is full folders worth of bills and receipts to prove mileage, alongside mot from last 16 years all in the pack, there is a lot of paperwork i have photographed some to show.
low miles of 105k.
m3 number plate included in sale also.
Bits that would need minor attention to become perfect:
would need one bush on the passenger side very cheep fix
At some stage a boot spoiler had been put on, at some stage it had been removed and would obviously leave 2 nasty holes in, so the previous owners have put a dakar yellow 2 bootlid on for temporary measure so shade is slightly off, i however have a brand new bootlid that can go with the sale in fresh black primer that can be sprayed on been quoted around 120£ to do so, very easy job.
The paintwork would need a nice buff up to bring out the richness in the colour, as dakar yellow is a colour that tends to fade but this just needs a nice machine polish and a detail to really bring out the shine.
Lastly little bit of surface rust on rear arch but very minimal very good for a car of this age.
Also at the moment i am having some technical issue with the roof, it wasnt going down i could hear the motors so i just pulled the levers underneath the seat to reset the convertible hood system. On a e36 hood once this is done the motors need resyncing which is a very low time consuming job, it is quiet a easy process to do I will have a look at the roof myself at some point. If it isnt this it is something pretty minor as it had been working recently but as car has been in storage for a while its had very minimal use, and may be a part sticking . However roof has gone down and up there are pictures to show it has, Roof itself is in very good condition with no fading on the rear screen.
Overall it is 22 year old that has been very well maintained, i am being critical and honest about its imperfections as i don't want to waste anyones time.
The car is 22 years old after all and is a very early car that is only going to go one way and that is up.
It is not pristine but is a very good example of a usable classic car that surprisingly isn't bad on fuel achieves good mpg,
The 3.0 is the more reliable and rarer car that have started to demand some good money recently.
The car is the only 3.0 Dakar yellow convertible up on the market so you can make the judgement that she is a rare piece.
For the age the miles is really low and would be great to see this car go to a collector or to a real enthusiast.
Please do not insult me with very low offers.
