it has good fuel pressure ( new pump and checked ) good spark will run on easy start/brake cleaner will cough as though the cold start injector is working?
have ordered a noid light set to check signal at injectors
I'm thinking ecu is goosed as these are the same symptoms as my last RR

As your siggy says 2 x 87 RR's I'm guessing it's a flapper system?

Starting on these is pretty basic, the afm flap moves, which switches the pump and the injectors are fired by the engine control module, to do this the module needs to see an ignition pulse from the distrubutor, the air flow signal from the afm (which in turn needs a reference voltage supplied by the ecm) and this signal is modified based on the temperature sensor.
Before investing in a new control module I would suggest you check all the voltages at the pcm (there is a manual somewhere on line which takes you step by step through this).
The other thing to check is the relay which isolates the injectors when running on lpg, usually this is spliced into the injector power feed, if everything is ok there should be something less than 12v (will depend on the resistance of you meter) to one side of the injector connector with the ignition on.

Can you force it to start on gas rather than petrol and switch over?

Can you force it to start on gas rather than petrol and switch over? What he said. IME you generally can on most systems. If it is a Mixer system with a 3 way switch you can simply flick the switch onto LPG. If it is a multipoint system you basically hold the switch down until after the car starts which will override the normal starting procedure and fire the car up on LPG. On Zavoli and other AEL based systems (Romano and Tartarini being some others) it works. I think it also works on Landi systems, but it's been ages since I have worked on a car with a Landi system.
