Without stepping on the toes of the E30 in here aswell, I need to sell this.
E30 318is, M42 engine
Its been in the family for the past 16 years, and now its time for it to go get restored, we have way to much to deal with at the moment and this is bottom of the pile unfortunately.
I know for the MOT it will need welding on the underside infront of the rear subframe mount (see photo) and the number plate lights are falling out, so that will need securing.
Lots of scrubby areas around the car but nothing a respray wouldnt cure.
The rear brake line popped on me and needs new lines running, probably from infront of the tee joint as that looks pretty rotten aswell.
Engine is sweet though, a few years back it had top end oil starvation, so we took the head off, re-conned a spare and put that on with a re-conned oil pump and new timing chain and guides.
Exhaust has had a new box put on but needs final fettling to sit perfectly.
Just had a new master cylinder aswell
Car can be driven but i wouldnt recommend driving further than 100 yards, the front brakes work but the backs don't and although its a partitioned reservoir, the brakes really don't work atall.
The interior is pretty good, some mold as its been sat for a while, but i keep cleaning it to keep the majority at bay.
Crack on the dash like most E30's
The rev gauge doesn't work, I think this is the diff sensor and the fuel gauge plays up. It comes with some spare clocks but this could do with a total refresh and a new battery.
The front splitter is missing along with a wheel cap.
Also have a bonnet, boot and rear bumper to go with, aswell as some smoked lights, grilles, glovebox, some ancilaries aswell.
Pictures are better than ramblings.
Car is located in Kensworth in Bedfordshire
PM me for my details, and ill be happy to help with questions.
Thanks for looking
Mark
