To start off I only have 2 pictures but I will be getting more of the exterior and all important underneath.
Selling this project as I don't have the indoor storage for it anymore or the time to even start on it myself due to work commitments and various other projects.
So then, the car itself I acquired in 2006/07. The car had undergone a partial restoration years previously, when having its M.O.T the engine built up crank case pressure an decided the oil should live outside the engine block. The then owner left it sat in his garage for a few years after losing interest in it after the said engine failure of sorts. I have no idea on the condition of the engine but it does appear the top end was rebuilt, not that it matters now 10 years+ down the line. This is where I came in. Had 2 series 2 turbos myself at the time and wanted another. It was apparently owned by the president of the 924 owners club but nobody seems to know the car over there. The engine is now partly disassembled, cam cover is off, inlet side is off. Turbo side and full exhaust system is still on there. I never delved any further than what I was told about the engine side of things. The PO removed the seats, doorcards and the green series 1 instrument guages. Full black carpet set and dash still remain, black dash isnt too bad in terms of cracks. Now onto the exterior, looks to have been resprayed in the original onyx green and was never flatted back and poliished afterwards. All panels are straight apart from the bonnet which came off 1 of my series 2's (has a dent from the inside, accident with a ratchet years ago), also think wing bottoms are crispy now, few marks from storage over the years but it is a nice base to start. All glass is present although the hatch has been changed for a lux item I think, spoilerless with chrome trim. Car seems to never of had a passenger door mirror from factory. Underneath is immaculate and shows the love and attention this car recieved at some point. Everything looks to have been refurbed, fresh paint, stonechipped and new bushes in everything. Car has seen practically 0 road miles since. Seeing underneath the car is believing. Anybody wanting to try fish some history on the car. The registration is HOD649Y. It was manufactured in 1979 and registered in 1984 hence the Y plate Had many arguments over this being a genuine series 1 because of this. Also DVLA list it as a 1921cc instead of 1984cc which could just be a mistake on their front.
I will stop the rambling here. Typically this car might interest an enthusiast so they will know what to look for. The price stated is a guide, don't be shy. There is more than likely loads I have missed out so any questions, don't hesitate and I will answer as best I can. Obviously the car will need trailering, I can do this at an agreed cost with a buyer. WILL BE GETTING THE CAR ON THE 4 POSTER ASAP AND SHOWING THE GLORIOUS UNDERSIDE CONDITION AND WILL ALSO INCLUDE EXTERIOR SHOTS. If anybody wants specific pictures please do let me know as soon as possible.
