The tan option looks good, kinda like a horse drawn cart. as for the brown vinyl option, it's likely to be a bit different to the brown on rest of the body so might not look as good, I did do a very quick photoshop of the canopy to be in the same brown as the rest

Is that an Ifor Williams Canopy? Quite a few local farmers / smallholders used these trucks as transport. It is indeed, the previous owner of the donor truck that had the canopy fitted lived in Mold, Flintshire which isn’t too far from Ifor Williams. I have contacted them to see if any trim pieces are available for the ribs. I think it’s a very early one as the only product code on there is a number on dymo tape which they don’t have in their records. I don't remember any trim on any canopy, purely utilitarian and functional for the agricultural market, a very sought after brand due to their build quality and longevity .

Just caught up here. For me, like my opinion matters, I love the contrast between mint truck and utility ally top. Works on every level.

I wonder whether all you actually need is a brand new ifor williams canopy, so that it matches in with the fresh paint?...

They look lovely vertex but if I went to the trouble of getting it prepped then I'd paint it the same colour as the truck. Why would I choose a different but very similar colour? It would just look like a bad paint match IMHO.

It would be textured as well so obviously intentionally different rather than just a different shade of paint. It's a model but this is the closest thing I could find to demonstrate my thinking...

Love what you've done with this little truck.
However, the rear overhang of the Williams canopy versus the tailgate would drive me nuts.
Have you considered modifying the leading edge of the canopy to more closely follow the back of the cab?
This might allow you to "slide" the canopy forward into alignment with the top of the tailgate.
My photoshop skills are zero but another more talented RR member might be able to oblige.
dapser.

Thanks, I know what you mean and I've considered it but the cab is slightly wider about halfway up the canopy so it wouldn't slot over, most obvious in that photo... The only resolution for bringing it in line is to cut the last few inches off the back end which I've considered but need to come up with a plan to replace the rear door or potentially drill all of the rivets through and refit the rear rib a few inches further forward.

Apologies I didn't realise how costly they are.
In regards to the point Dapser made, in a way it is more practical with the overhang so water doesn't drip into the bed. I wonder if fitting / fashioning some kind of spoiler to the top of the tailgate (or bottom of the canopy rear grill) would tie it all in?
Your truck looks amazing by the way, as does the canopy. Fantastic job and vision.

Fantastic job and vision. The current but future plan is to replace the mesh grill door with a solid sheet metal door with the rear window from the donor truck fitted in. Have a curved edge along the bottom to echo the lower rear panel.

Just a thought, but what are the possibilities of getting something as big as that canopy anodised? Anodised wheels and canopy would be pretty trick.

Exactly twelve months to the day since the Acty came out of paint. It’s turned out to be one of the worst twelve months I’ve witnessed but somehow in amongst all of the destruction from the global pandemic and all of the fallout that have been caused as a result of it I’ve managed to enjoy 6 car shows, win 4 trophies, and get 1 magazine feature published. Let’s all try and focus on battling through until we can enjoy life completely again.

Do this - it would work, especially when you get the new tailgate made. Why is it not called Wfor Williams? I is for Igloo. Sorry!

Also, if these ribs are still in production, one could get one made up. Also, do they have any other profile endings? Just thinking of ways to make the back even more editable.
