And so on to life laundry part 3 - another vehicle I'm losing storage of.
Previously of this parish, purchased in the autumn of 2014 from: retrorides.proboards.com/thread/170956/honda-acty-class-1100ono-dudley
1987
550cc twin
rear wheel drive
No MOT.
Award winning!
I picked it up, drove it, parked it and then just let the MOT expire. Haven't had the time, money, energy or inclination to investigate.
To get through the MOT I know it needs a new CV boot (which I have, not fitted), brakes will need some attention (they don't feel like they're stopping evenly but replacements are dirt cheap) and maybe some of the rust - there's plenty of holes in the bed and the sides are grotty. They do come up on eBay now and again but this is a pretty rare & award-winning Kei wagon! It's had a new tyre in my ownership and I have a set of 4 spare wheels in varying condition but all hold air and have tread. It may also need a new headlamp, but they're a standard 10" jobbie available from kit cars and on eBay.
It's currently stored at work (I'll pop down and take some up-to-date pictures, although nothing's really changed) and you're welcome to take a 'spin' around the site in Braintree, Essex. It's very simple, surprisingly good fun, economical very practical and will sit happily at 60 all day. Never let me down, although 200-odd miles back from Birmingham in one go was a little cramped!
Feel free to forward and Qs via PM or email xp_mckenna AT yahoo DOT co DOT uk
