Agreed, it was a really pleasant meet. We turned up pretty early in the Lotus and had to leave early too. As a result, I didn't actually see a lot of the cars in the photos above. This probably makes things more interesting as you get a kind of revolving line up.

Oooh I missed that Cressida. That looks lovely on those Street Fins. Funnily enough I had commented on the lack of Japanese cars in the mix, I think there was only an MK2 Mr2 and a MX5 while I was there. discostew - I had wander round your Lotus, I bet its got a few tales to tell. Good work on getting it back on the road too, are we due an update to your build thread yet? I was eyeing up the wheels to decide if they would look good on my Corolla they certainly look the part on the Lotus.

You wouldn't really expect a plastic car to develop the patina look, would you? I can't decide whether to paint it or not. I will update the build thread shortly.

Nice pics. I hope to get to the next meet as long as it's not on the 24th (Japfest at Silverstone).

Would be nice to have something similar in the north for definite (TS17 here). I've been struggling to find anything less than 100 miles away that's regular and isn't either supermarket hatchback meet or a highly polished antique meet. One of the things I regret about leaving Sheffield is how much harder it is to get to good car stuff now.

I'm puzzled. Are you guys saying Slaithwaite isn't the North? Huddersfield is quite northerly, but not when compared to Berwick Upon Tweed and geordie land in general. vulgalour and penski do the monthly Metrocentre meet still happen up there?

Geordie: Slaithwaite is nearly 100 miles south of me and about 200 miles south of penski so while it's North it's not as North as us. mk14dr: No idea. Nearest meet with reliable info about when it happens to me I've found so far is the Leeds meet, that's still nearly 70 miles away. There must be something up here, there's enough modified, old and just plain classic stuff trundling around regularly to warrant it. Just got to find it.
