To the observant is a cautionary tale of why one should get approval before purchasing. The dents are a golf club a previous owner surprised her partner turning up with it. Evident now is his lack of appreciation.
They will get fixed later

What kind of man(iac) doesn't appreciate an Avenger. Especially with those wheels. Those wheels nearly got the boot, bad rubbing when turning was an issue....... til the stupidly located washer bottle sprung a leak. Problem solved!

Lolol, not a bad guess. No spot-welds! From the factory? Sure looks that way. There's a few different places of less than ideal factory craftsmanship in this shell

Communism and/or trade union idiocy happened to the British motor industry. That's part of the reason. Another part was utterly incompetent management

Hi, That's why it's not rotten because it can't hold any water that gets in there. Colin factor in an appetite for oil too. I fed it regularly & the messy tart dribbled some as well as belching it out her 'tailpipe'. As igor will atest, was common here to oil gravel roads to control dust. Leaky english cars tend to develop an alternate chassis protection while aiding dust control at same time.
