That's one of the cleanest K10s I've seen in a while and an early one too. The planned gold wheels will work well with the green paint, the brown interior and even the yellow headlights, in fact it should make the yellow tint look better than it does now because it will give them something to match.
I'm hoping you're going for a less-is-more approach with this one, it really doesn't need a lot visually to make it look special, just bringing the height down and putting white wheels on has worked wonders on what would otherwise have been a nice clean basic classic.

My thoughts exactly Vulgalour! Its so clean I don't really want to go messing it up, so it's just going to be little additions to make it nicely clean (No big showwy wheels, no stupid stickers, etc) A freind is wanting to make a small spoiler/lip for the rear, but only If I can find another boot in the same colour - don't want this one damaged as its rust free. Just keeping an eye out for wheels atm, but I'm half tempted to get these ones banded and painted a beigey/creamy colour... Freind of mine, ModifiedYoung, took some photos as well yesterday, it looks good but the rear desperatly needs a couple of inches taking off

The rake's not that bad really, it's a good shape for it. If you feel the back's a bit high, lift the front a smidge and it should make the rear appear lower. I reckon the front would still look okay if it were lifted a bit but really, the way it sits at the moment seems right for a car of its age, as though it were modified a while ago rather than recently.

Really good dailys! Been doing brim-to-brim fuel tests, and over the past few fills have averaged 53mpg... All motorway at a steady 65mph (it won't do much more comfortably anyway!)
Saying that, the cars been dropped with my mechanic for the carb to be looked at, has a constant misfire at idle and stutters throughout the rev range etc when cold and hot. I changed the plugs, rotor arm, cap etc and no difference. Plus news is I'm driving a comfy and fast car for the meantime, makes for a pleasant change haha

New leads are on the way as I found the original ones were starting to corrode and were pretty awful when I tested their resistance.... if that doesnt solve it I'll look into vacuum leaks. Not used to these old cars, most things I work on are much newer with OBD!

Well...Tried a different set of HT leads the other day and thats fixed everything Back to having a smooth power delivery and starting reliably - but still mind numbingly slow. Saying that, once up to speed this thing will do 80mph if needed to overtake lorries and what not, it makes a brilliant 'retro/classic' daily. So the new leads were blue, I didn't realise but oh well they don't look too modern/tacky

A K10 went screaming past me like I was going backwards even though I was plugging away at 70ish, you just have to get them wound up and have nerves of steel if you'd done nothing to counter the body roll and wayward tendencies in a sidewind. They take a while to get going but once they do there's really no stopping them in the best tradition of little Japanese cars from the 70s on.

Exactly it^ Because the front is rather low though the bump steer is quite bad at speed haha... Maybe going fully back to standard soon and possibly being sold at the beginning of July - it's just not a car I can sling all my cycling gear in and disappear for a weekend (I knew this when I bought it, I just liked the car enough to not care haha).
If anyones interested let me know

Why can't you sling all your stuff into the back of it and disappear? Put a tarp down if you're worried. It's not like it's any less usable than it was when it was brand new...

More the fact the bike just will not fit even with all the wheels off!
Also, I get bored and change cars far too often, ^ that's just an excuse to buy a new car

Can't you just get a roof rack for the bike, or a hitch mounted bike holder if you have a trailer hitch?
