guys what would be the right type of bike carbs I would need on a 1300 cvh. its a stock engine just fully rebuilt have a distributor with vac advance so I believe all I need is the carbs, manifold (with vacuum outlets for the dizzy), and a bike carb fuel pump! would cbr600 Honda carbs be okay - what jet sizes would I need in them to run okay in a 1.3 cvh?? fancy a bit of noise and to replace the rubbish weber single carb set up I have! thanks in advanceeee

I ran a set of 33mm mikunis from a FZS600 fazer on a 1.4 and a1.6 k series and they were great.
Mount nearly horizontal too, unlike most semi down draft bike carbs.
Sounded like this on the 1.4
Idle mixture screws 2 turns from fully seated, needle clip on the bottom groove with a washer under, mains drilled to 1.5mm

The vac advance for the dizzy wants to come off just above the Venturi, no provision is on bike carbs usually, so just blank it off.
If you tap into the runners, the vac signal is good for a map sensor or brake servo, no good for the dizzy. It's too strong and will just pull the advance unit to full advance at anything below full throttle.

I know I wont necessarily need to do that but its nice to know thanks for your video and reply

Be aware that over a modern 16V you'll have heavier fuel requirements for a given engine size. If stock the the CVH head was not the best flowing of things .

The carb slide has a needle (like an su) that takes care of the midrange fuelling.
The needle has 5 grooves with a circlip, to set the height. Lift the needle (lower groove) to richen, lower to weaken.
I found I needed the needle higher than the bottom groove would allow, so shimmed with washers.

id be looking at suzuki bandit 1200 carbs, think they are 34mm venturi. the needle is operated by a diaphram that lifts with vacuum, bike carbs have a idle jet which is usually upto quarter throttle the need jet then controls from there to about three quarter then your onto your main jet

Bandit 1200 carb's are 36mm, a bit big for a 1300 8 valve car engine.
Would work, but the throttle response would be not as good as smaller carb's.
