French cars and the weird problems they get....it's a 205 1.7 diesel and the little rubber thing that stops the dip stick disappearing into the sump has fallen off!
Not a problem till now, because it's a low mileage XUD and doesn't use any oil, but now it's time for a oil change!
So, can anyone who owns a late 205 1.7 XUD, measure how much of the dipstick sits above that funny plastic lid, so when I check the oil, I know how far to push the dipstick in?
And I guess I should get the overall length of the dipstick too, to make sure it's the same?
