Hey,
So a few month back i bought a second hand inflatable hot tub on ebay. I did have it under a pop up gazebo in my garden however this just wasn't up to the job. I set about collecting pallets and packing wood at work. One weekend i borrow the company pickup truck and took it all home to being work.
I build the the shelter on my patio so i didn't need to worry about a base. Using some old wooden fence post which i had left after replacing the fence at the bottom of my garden. I built a frame which stood in the garden just out from the patio. I then attached more posts to the house, using the longer lengths of packing wood i made a frame for the roof and covered it in the cheapest clear roofing i could get from B&Q trade.
I then set about breaking down pallets to make the walls for the shelter.
Using 4 large pallets i laid these down to make a raised floor to help insulate the tub from the cold slabs and bring it move level with the floor in the house.
I covered the pallets with some foam tiles also from B&Q
Then i added some LED lights and cut up a tarp to cover the openings, this can be rolled up when not needed. Last touch was a little shelf so i can watch something on the Ipad.
Next upgrade is to make a wood burner to help heat the water.
Cheers
