1996 Volvo 850 T5 CD Estate
217,000 miles, MOT until November 2016
I purchased this car in the middle of last year as I had always wanted an 850 T5. I wouldn't have usually viewed a car with this amount of miles, but it already had the RICA 304 map and had had parts fitted recently (PCV etc). I viewed the car, was surprised at the amount of history present and the condition of the car. It was originally a lease car, covering 90k miles in the first three years and doesn't seem to have had many dogs or kids in!
I then garaged the car for a few months until I had the car up to a standard where I wanted to drive it. This included the fitting of the following replacement parts/modifications.
Exterior:
Freshly painted R front bumper, mirror caps and headlight wiper blanks
Removal of the roof rails and replacement with 'non rail' mouldings
A good clean, machine polish and all trims painted with grey trim paint
Engine:
Genuine Volvo cambelt kit, water pump, expansion tank
Service with Castrol oil, air, oil and fuel filters. Genuine pollen filter kit added
New Bosch battery, rear brake pads and discs replaced
Genuine Volvo strut brace, Stainless steel cat-back exhaust with de-cat
The car made 267bhp at Surrey Rolling Road and the fuelling was observed to be 'spot on'
Interior:
VDO boost gauge installed in vent, brand new cluster and switch bulbs throughout
Genuine Volvo wooden steering wheel
JVC double din MP3/USB headunit
Other:
New front ARB drop links, top mounts and bearings, V70 rear lights
Factory Lowered suspension (build sheet present with car)
The bodywork is in very good condition, there are a few blemishes etc as you would expect and unfortunately some rust in the usual places. These include the tailgate (behind numberplate) and one of the front wings where the bumper meets (minimal) I would also draw your attention to the front of the bonnet which is dented/scuffed, the rear passenger door which is rippled and the corners of the rear bumper which are scuffed.
The car is a CD model and has full blue leather, trip computer, climate control, nivomat rear suspension, dog guard. The car does have heated seats, but only the passenger side seems to work. It drives well (this is my first Volvo so can't really compare to anything!) and pulls really hard, there is the occasional slight knock and the clutch is fairly heavy but it doesn't slip.
The car is in very good condition and taking the recent work and modifications into account I am asking £SOLD
I am located on Hampshire/Surrey Border - GU35 and I am selling the car as I have my eye on a Mercedes (I have a company car so change my 'weekend' cars fairly frequently)
Thanks (Photos below, sorry there are loads but I wanted to show as much of the car as possible!)
