Hi guys I have for sale my MGF. The reason I am selling is the clutch is in the way out. It has started slipping in the past couple of days, it still shifts fine and is driveable. A couple of the photos are from a drive we did round ludlow weekend before last and it was great and drove perfect. I don't have the time to repair it and I don't want to pay a garage an extortionate rate to repair it. It isnt the greatest for my mountain biking either as I have to keep stealing the mrs car.
The engine is fine, has an aftermarket air filter which sounds nice and throaty behind your head. Uses no oil or water. I don't know if it has the uprated headgasket. I got the car off a guy on here and he did not know. I checked it on a regular basis when I got but its been so faultless I have stopped checking. Temp sits where it should no matter what type of driving your doing.
Bodywork is fine, changed oil three weeks ago and could not see any problems. Rear pass arch has a spot of rust I noticed, this was caused by water and dirt getting through a hole in the arch. I was goign to clean and fill the hole but did not have time that day.
Interior has been changed to tf. Nice and comfy half leather and suede seats. Has a patch on drivers bolster to cover a tear. Roof is in good condition and does not leak, the rubbers around the top of the window do sometimes allow a drop of water in. I do get a slight leak throught the glove box, resulting in a damp passenger carpet every now and then.
Price is £500 but I would rather swap as I need car. Car must have mot and be roadworthy. Ideally something japanese but will consider literally anything.
