Interesting next door neighbour! The "To do list" is not too long now, but does mean lots of late nights and long days I'm sure. All the best. Yeah, I have also been roped in to working as a supporting actor on a few films, the most popular one being X-Men, First Class :-) The most fun one was Strippers v Wearwolves. Two days in a pole dancing club, hard work :-) I'm sitting down second from right and my son Alex is third. Umm only one and a half stars on IMDB, but there some HD trailers on YouTube. oppps included the image again., Starring the guy from Line of Duty.

A day of little jobs. Started on repair of motorhome door lock. Fitted filter to boost controller vent rather than the original idea of venting to the air intake. Fitted electronic throttle body using recently arrived titanium bolts. Dry fitted hose from intercooler to new throttle body to check fit. Checked that filter fits. Jubilee clips are temp ones. Fitted 3bar MAP to air intake tube along with the flexible tube. I will be picking up ECU from Life Racing tomorrow (updated to latest spec) so I can then start fitting ECU, battery and PDMs

Nice work as always, how far down the list are you ? James About this far :-) Original list: Bolt down fuel pump system and tanks Refit steering column and wheel Refit intake pipes and intercooler - DoneBuy G-sensor, damper linear sensors (these aren't cheap!) and steering angle sensor (and fit) - Not getting for now, but the wring for them will be in the loom.Fit new electronic throttle body. DoneFit pneumatic pressure regulator. Remove speedo sensor (not now required as one of the other wheel sensors can be used) New to list: Make ECU and PDM brackets. Done Secure battery

Got the design for the bottom of the list all sorted for you

I had planned, originally, to secure the glove box door with velcro. However, this proved to be not very successful so I had a rethink. I thought about fittng a hinge (as can be seen on the bottom of the door) but decided that it would get in the way.
Then a freind mentioned the Rare Earth Neodymium Magnets he was using on his project (not car related). Hmmmmmmmm, I thought, so I bought some N52 Grade 20x 2mm Disc Rare Earth Neodymium Super Strong Industrial Magnets and used 15 to hold the door on.
10 you can see in the video plus 5 more inside the glove box behind the 5 that are visible.
Seems to work OK, test will be when car is used in anger.

So impressive in so many ways! But, is carbon fibre magnetic? Even with rare earth magnets and, measuring weight reduction with pinholes - that's hardcore!

Just being entirely silly - referring to the pinholes in the laquer in post 866. Typically my brain goes in odd directions.

Typically my brain goes in odd directions. :-) However, once you start running down the slippery slope labelled weight reduction it is difficult to control your speed and easy to go too fast and crash. I have to contantly apply the brake :-)

'Work in progress' battery cage is 53gms at the moment. A couple of bungee cords = 66gms :-) Will tie-wraps pass Tech Inspection?

Battery, ECU and PDM brackets fitted. Needed some 6mm bighead bolts (to secure PDM and battery brackets) that I could glue to the bulkhead as I didn't want to drill through it. These seem to be around £18 for 5 and I needed 8. Lathe to the rescue once again. 30 minutes later 8 fixings made. These were glued to the bulkhead with a rubber spacer to reduce vibration. ECU bracket simply glued on (again with a rubber spacer) The only modificaion I had to make was reducing the length on one of the clutch pipes as it came too close to the ECU bracket. One more tick on the TODO list.

Having looked at your GRIZZ-POD build thread and the quality of the teardrop build, this is praise indeed!
I love the garage.
