Just fitted some 6J, 14" 5 spoke Revolutions with Chrome sleeve bolts. Not bad! Do clash with the arches so some gentle rolling and 'persuasion' required but otherwise, quite nice! The lower profile tyres have tightend up the ride and handling a little too but I might have to get some new ones soon... It's very grimy at the moment as I've done about 400 miles in two weeks, in heavy downpours and lots of nice mud, so excuse the state of it! Could really do with being lowered another 1" on those but as you can see in some of the photos - the manifolds are just not going to withstand that, I have enough clearance issues already! Still in two minds though (about the car and about the modifications) but I'm swaying closer to 'keeping', rather than selling. It's just needing cosmetic attention really (rear arches primarily and a little touch up to the front valance) but I suppose an arch kit might make that simpler? Opinions? I do like the looks......and it'd clear the Revos better and enable larger tyres which would be nicer (current ones are narrower than those I had previously). It would also be a much less painful 'fix'........The only downside being it'd be a little less unsuspecting but still...

Jamie, those "flat faced" ones are really nice - I tried to find a set of those but apart from going new (for my PCD at least) it was really tricky to find any. A better photo of what the arch kit -could- look like: Hehe....... Yes Hirst, I am an authorised vehicle! ;D

Whoa! Get those arches NOW!! They look absolutely stunning and would also mean you don't have to do a perfect repair of the rear arches before fitting.

I think it'd look something like this (10 min photochop!) Hmm..... 150 quid for the full set of arches excluding shipping.........And I guess I could paint them with rattle cans fairly well for the time being..... Wonder how much grief to fit there is.

Is there any way that you can get that manifold tucked in a bit more, I didn't realise how close it was to the floor before seeing that picture up there ^^^ ... another inch or so lower on those wheels with the arch kit (and maybe a little spacer action so that they wern't lost in the arches) and the whole thing would be bang on the money fantastic.
It looks great on the wheels already.

Thanks for the comments RE the manifold, well, it's tricky. The RHS one (from the front) could be recessed a little. However, the LHS one wraps around the subframe, coming under the sump - as to avoid the steering gear. I'll have to look and see if there's space to route it backwards instead of forwards, as this'd probably help a lot. This is it at the moment: I think stiffer springs may help in some respects - stop it diving & compressing on bumps which is what seems to lend it to snatching most. That large coupling (flexible, I think) is low too - loosing that might help a lot. Need to get rid of the damned cross-axle pipe as well as that keeps catching and doesn't really fit well at all (despite being an OEM part). Time for a Side exit, maybe....Lighter, too ;D I've emailed Sprintspares about their arch kit and how quickly they could get it here. And I agree with the lowness! I want the wheels in the arches! Does anyone have any good examples of stealthy side exits? For some reason I don't think it'd look great with just a bit of 2" diamater pipe sticking out from under one sill. Maybe a twin pipe? It's weird, because I know I've seen some good ones - but I can't really picture them.

Surprisingly spot on.

purely my opinion, so feel free to beat me with a dead haddock, but i think the rimz would look better with the centres black instead of silver.

Not considered that yet, just threw them on ;D I'll give that a twirl on photoshop later and stick it up. Still mulling over this side exit.......Solve a lot of problems. Could be nasty in traffic though....and how to make it look good!

keep as is!
i'm joining you in revo fitting, although ive had them 2 years, I'm just getting round to painting the second pair now. gold 4 spokes with polished 4" dish. mmm.
the black suits perfect there. no need for arches IMO, it sits good already.
