I've regretted selling all my other 924s so inevitably continue a theme...
My car is a 1988 Porsche 924S located in Cardiff. It has the high compression 163bhp engine and other perks of being the final year of production for the 924.
I bought it just under a year ago from the previous owner who:
Replaced belts & waterpump
Replaced brake hoses
Replaced sills
Very nice stainless exhaust system
I then intended for it to be a keeper and have spared no expense on maintaining it and tastefully upgrading some parts. In my ownership I have replaced with new:
Shocks – Bilstein B6
Lowering springs
Topmounts
Steering shaft
Wishbones
Balljoints
ARB bushes
All front suspension sundries
DME relay
Battery
All service items (Oil change with Mobil 1 a few weeks ago)
4x Continental Premium contact tyres
Only944 gearshifter
Hatch pin seats
Rear hatch seal
New windscreen with top tint
4x Blaupunkt speakers
Probably more!
All of these parts are genuine Porsche except aftermarket springs & Bilstein shocks.
I have modified it to include:
Sports seats
Momo steering wheel
Ultra light 3 piece split rim wheels
Replacement ECU with chip
Lowered rear on eccentric bolts, front on lowering springs
I was intending to use Augment Automotives cam & ECU so will include in the sale:
Complete spare camshaft & housing
All new seals for above
Spare ECU to be remanufactured
This will see the same power/weight ratio as a 968 Club Sport.
The car has:
MOT until 7th December. 2 advisories – worn tyre and handbrake, both addressed.
124700 miles (going up in daily use)
Part service history including original stamped handbook
Original dealer sticker in the rear window?
The car has the following issues:
Poor paint at rear including small dink
Slow passenger window
Drivers window not working
Wheel wobble at speed, suspect lost wheel weight
I use this car everyday and it feels tight & responsive, certainly the best 924 I've driven, and I've driven a few! I have put 12,000 miles on it in a year and apart from changing the ECU it has been flawless.
Everything is accounted for in the advert, whoever buys it will have a very sorted 924S to enjoy with no nasty surprises!
Priced for quick sale at £4,000 including all spares. Would consider p/x with cash my way for a cheap runaround now that I own an old Corvette!
Thanks!
