Having to sell up a couple of Jaguars due to space issues (same old story, too many cars)
Straight in with the bad points about the blue one (although they shouldn't bother a retro-head)...
Headlining was shot so it was removed.
Few small dimples here and there (two in the boot for example) and a scrape along the passenger side. few other marks due to the previous old driver clipping stuff!
Bit of rust on rear passenger door.
Clock sometimes plays up.
Wheels could do with a refurb.
No history books, but she came from a guy who was in to his classics and it was looked after mechanically due to it being his Dads.
Good stuff:
Drives really nice. Air con works. All electrics work. Long MOT with only two advisories (MOT tester commented that it is not rusty in the regular places these go) Engine pulls extremely well. New caliper. Two new shock top bushes. Uses no fluids. Temp stays spot on. New battery not long ago - it started after sitting outside my house for three weeks without even trying. Electric aerial works and the CD changer in the boot even plays copy CD's! Very minimal wear inside. Tool box still in the wing.
I actually love this car and looking around at prices they seem to be on the up, but once again, I have too many cars, a caddy project in our lockup and just treated myself to a Quad bike. Something has to give
It's a cheap, waft-along, part weathered slab of awesomeness. It has covered around 100k miles.
I also have a set of XJR wheels in not bad condition that I will sell for £150 if anyone was interested, otherwise it will come on the wheels below..
The red Jag I will list later, but that has a ton of history for it's 133k miles but has had welding. It has a perfect headlining and the wheels are the non-chrome versions of the ones above but in good condition.
Bad points on that include no rear boxes (sounds good, though!) but a pair can be had for £100 on ebay. Bonnet slightly off colour. One front shock is tired. Short MOT (or may have run out now, will check)
Here is a pic of it on the XJR wheels. They could do with a balance as there is a bit of wobble around 60 mph, but when creeping about they are fine. Tyres are ok although not all matching and they could do with a tart up although still look ok.
